The Coos Bay Downtown Association (CBDA) is proud to announce the CBDA Coos Bay Downtown
Farmers Market will be filling the community with music, merriment and munchies for our 23rd season with our friends at KShore 97.3 FM. on May 3, 2023. We are nestled right in the heart of the Historic Coos Bay Downtown District every Wednesday, May 3rd – Oct 25th, 9am-2pm. Residents, tourists, family and friends can stroll Central Avenue between 101 South and 3rd street enjoying the easily accessible open air
market with the opportunity to buy fresh local fruits and veggies, farm favorites of honey and eggs,
homemade baked goodies, jams, candy, and enjoying a bite to eat at our famous Food Court. Our local
artisans offer a unique variety of handcrafted treasures galore. South Coast Family Dentistry will ensure
handwashing stations will be available throughout the Farmers Market. The CBDA Farmers Market will be
filled with Product Sampling, Demonstrations, Music, Entertainment, and Children’s programs. So It Goes
Coffeehouse will keep the musical vibe going with “Music at the Market” featuring a lively variety of music
from various bands and performers.

Thanks to our wonderful sponsor, Ziply Fiber,“Farm Fresh to Every Fork” will continue to be a main focus
of the CBDA Food Accessibility program. The CBDA Food Accessibility program is to ensure our food
poor community has access to farm fresh fruits, vegetables, and basic food items needed for a healthy
well balanced diet at no cost to them while educating them on the importance of healthy eating and
stretching their food budget for those items. The SNAP/EBT program with a $20 Double Up Food Buck
(DUFB) match for fruits and veggies will be available the entire season. WIC and Senior Nutritional
vouchers will be happily accepted at the CBDA Farmers Market too.

Melissa Hasart, Market Manager reply, “Our customers can bring their EBT/SNAP card to the Farmers
Market informational booth where we will process their SNAP/EBT card. They will receive CBDA Market
tokens to be used on any item in the market they would normally buy on their EBT/SNAP card at the store. In addition, we will match the first $20 with $20 of DUFB vouchers for fruits and veggies. Which means, they put $20 on their card and get $40 worth of tokens and vouchers to use at the CBDA Coos Bay Farmers Market every week, all season long.” Come join the fun, rain or shine, as the CBDA Downtown Coos Bay Farmers Market is a wonderful place to wander on Wednesdays, starting May 3rd through October 25th as we shop, eat, mingle, and explore our Downtown Coos Bay!!!
